Radio: A way of communicating over distance.
The purpose of Sacred Rock Radio is to bring to the listening ears of the masses the sweet sound of Christian Rock Music in all its forms over its entire history. It is about introducing audiences around the world to a musical genre that has little in the way of air play, much less commercial radio support. It is about sharing the Truths of God through a medium that gets your blood pumping and can touch your body, soul, mind and spirit in ways no other form of music can.
We also want to use the sacredrockradio.com website, along with our live show, as a place for music lovers and musicians and those who support them to gather, and eventually, in the not so distant future, a place to communicate and support each other. From the retired musician to the unsigned band who is just starting out, Sacred Rock Radio is about a lot more than just the music. It is about building bridges among God’s people; it is about spreading the Good News of God in a way that reaches the hearts and minds of those who are in need of a heart change.
Sacred Rock Radio was given birth June 3, 2006 in a time where the world of music radio is in a free fall. In an age where Rock Music programming has been replaced with a pornified shock jock format at one end of the spectrum and stupid talk at the other end.
What we are offering to our audience is a chance to listen to Intelligent Rock combined with Intelligent Talk. With 30 plus years worth of Christian Rock Music to pull from, it will take years to just scratch the surface. So the listeners won’t have to listen to a repeat of a song that they have heard a thousand times before.
There will be lots of new features and additions to our Sacred Rock Radio Website, so I invite you to come back often and watch the progress. We also plan to expand the hours of our broadcasting once we have garnered the listeners and the sponsorship to do so.
Sacred Rock Radio is not owned by and or affiliated with any specific radio station or network. We rent time on the participating radio stations that carry our show. We have to raise our own operating capital through our advertisers and sponsors, so we encourage you, our listeners, to frequent their establishments and do business with them because they keep our bills paid and allow us to serve you, our loyal listeners.
